Meet Dr. Harrison Gollob

Dentist & CEO — Viera Dental Arts

I know that dental emergencies can be overwhelming, especially if you're in pain or feeling anxious. That's why I've built a privately owned practice where patients come first—not corporate policies or production goals. When you come to my office, you can expect calm, judgment-free care focused on your comfort. I'll take the time to listen to your concerns, explain what's happening in clear, easy-to-understand language, and recommend only the treatment you truly need. My goal is to relieve your pain as quickly as possible, restore your tooth whenever possible, and help you leave with a healthy, confident smile. Every step of the way, I'll make sure you feel informed, comfortable, and cared for.

Dental Emergency FAQs

How can I manage severe pain until my visit?

+

Dental pain can be intense, but a few simple steps can help take the edge off until we see you.

  • Alternate pain relievers. Ibuprofen and acetaminophen work differently — taking both (staggered, at the recommended doses) often controls pain better than either alone. Never place aspirin directly against the gum or tooth; it can burn the tissue.
  • Rinse with warm salt water. A few times a day, this reduces bacteria and can ease swelling around the painful area.
  • Use a cold compress. Hold it against the outside of your cheek in 15-minute intervals to numb pain and limit swelling.
  • Keep your head elevated, especially when lying down — extra blood flow to the head can intensify throbbing pain at night.
  • Avoid the trigger side. Steer clear of hot, cold, sweet, or hard foods, and try not to chew where it hurts.

These steps are meant to make you more comfortable, not to treat your emergency. If you develop facial swelling, fever, or trouble swallowing or breathing, that's an emergency: call 911 or go to the Emergency Room.

Do you offer payment plans?

+

Yes — we don't want cost to stand between you and getting out of pain. We offer payment plans so you can spread the cost of treatment over time instead of paying it all upfront through flexible financing such as

  • Care Credit: We can process your Care Credit and use that toward the cost of your treatment.
  • Proceed Lending: If you have a very expensive procedure, we've partnered with Proceed Lending and can do your application in office.
  • Cherry Financing: Quick and easy, see if you qualify below, no hard credit pull.

Call our office if you have any questions about payment plans.

Do you accept my insurance?

+

Our office works with all major PPO dental plans — we're in network with some and out of network with others. Either way, you can use your PPO dental plan at our office: we will file the claim, submit all the necessary paperwork and documentation for your visit. We will estimate your patient and insurance portions based on your coverage and let you know before we start any work. Here are some common PPO Dental Plans we work with:

  • Aetna
  • Ameritas
  • Delta Dental
  • Cigna
  • Humana
  • United Healthcare
  • BlueCross BlueShield
  • MetLife
  • Guardian
  • Not sure about your plan? Give our office a call with your insurance information and we can verify if we work with your insurance.
  • No insurance? That's not a problem. We can still see you — we offer self-pay options, payment plans, and in-house membership plans to make your visit affordable.

Do you work with uninsured patients?

+

Yes — we welcome patients without dental insurance and offer affordable self-pay options, transparent pricing, and flexible payment solutions to help you get the care you need without unnecessary financial stress. We also have some solutions that may be of benefit such as:

  • In-House Membership plans
  • Third Party financing

How can I prevent dental emergencies?

+

Most emergencies we see are preventable with a few consistent habits.

  • Keep up with checkups. Twice-yearly routine visits let us catch small cracks, cavities, and infections before they turn into an after-hours emergency or untimely toothaches.
  • Wear a mouthguard for sports or grinding. A custom night guard protects against fractures from clenching, and an athletic guard prevents knocked-out or chipped teeth during contact sports.
  • Don't use your teeth as tools. Opening packages, tearing tape, or cracking nuts with your teeth is one of the most common causes of sudden fractures.
  • Watch out for hard or sticky foods. Ice, hard candy, and popcorn kernels are frequent culprits behind cracked teeth and lost fillings.
  • Treat small problems early. A minor toothache or a filling that feels "off" rarely gets better on its own — catching it early is almost always simpler and less costly.
